Personal Statement

0025

My name is Clarissa Silva and I am asking for your support and vote in the upcoming election for the position of Justice on the 13th Court of Appeals – Place 6.

Growing up, my family taught me the importance of helping others without an expectation of receiving anything in return. Therefore, I chose a career in public service where I could make the greatest positive impact for my community. Throughout my law career, I have established and maintained effective working relationships with judges, attorneys, law enforcement, other government and social service agencies, crime victims and the general public. It has been my honor and pleasure to serve in an official capacity as a public servant. After 12 years in my law career I am highly encouraged by my daily work and interactions to know what the future holds for me – a lifetime career in law, serving my community.

I come from a family of public servants. My parents are Roberto Silva, who is a retired police officer with Harlingen Police Department and Letisia Silva, who is a registered nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center for over 35 years. I have three younger brothers who have also dedicated their life and career to public service. My brothers Robert and Ezekiel are Harlingen Police Officers and Isaac is a Texas State Trooper.

We are a united family who love our local community, our state and our country; doing the most good with a strong sense of commitment for justice, always.
